It has been a while since my attempt to get a cover from Indonesia featuring the two stamps on lighthouses issued on 17.08.2007. I am indeed happy that my attempt has finally come through courtesy Irene Chen. Thank you so much Irene for this beautiful cover. The stamp on this cover feature the Rona Lighthouse in the Isle of Rona in the UK. The postage stamp was issued only for local postage within the Isle of Rona. This is not a FDC, even though a this souvenior sheet featuring Querandi Lighthouse, Argentina and Santa Marta Lighthouses of Portugal is attached to a FDC. The stamps were originally issued on 25.09.2010 by Correo Argentino. However, Correo Argentino decided to re -issue the stamps on 23.10.2010 because they ran out of souvenior sheets with the first release. This stamp along with the other three stamps featured on the cover was issued in 2004 to mark the 125th Anniversary of the Naval Hydrographic Service which maintains the lighthouses in Argentina.

It has a special postmark to mark the first flight of the Bursa - Munich route on the Lufthansa flight LH 3257 on 02.08.2010. The aircraft used was a Airbus A 319.

This cover feature five stamps issued on 18.05.2002 by the State Post Bureau of China titled " Historical Lighthouses of China". These lighthouses are situated along the coast of China. Here is cover with stamps that I have been waiting for so long. Not because it took more than 2 months to travel from Russia to Sri Lanka (Posted on 14.05.2010 and received on 31.07.1010), because I have been looking for these stamps on a cover for such a long time. Many thanks to Elena Sudorgina whom I met through Postcrossing for sending me the cover. The stamps feature Peninsula Kanin (5,00), Peninsula Rybachiy (8,00) and Kildin Island (6,00) Lighthouses. The satmps are from the series Russian Lighthouses of Barentsevo and Beloe Sea issued on 10.08.2006. This is another jewel in my collection.
