The cover feature the Galle Lighthouse. This stamp was issued on 26.12.2005 on the occasion of the first anniversary of the Asian Tsunami. The Port City of Galle which is a World Heritage City due to its fort built by the Dutch was severely affected by the Tsunami. The lighthouse is built within the Dutch Fort.
