# 403 - Lighthouses of France

Many thanks to Jean Pierre for this postcard with a french stamp issued for a Priority Letter rate 20grms. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get any details about the Lighthouse shown on the stamp.

Any help from a reader will be much appreciated to get details about the Lighthouse shown on the stamp. Please e.mail me.

# 400 - Augustin Fresnel - Inventor of Fresnel Lense

What a way to mark post # 400 in my blog. It is a great honor to feature the stamp issued by La Poste, France honoring  Augustin Fresnel (1728 - 1927)

It is a coincidence that I received two covers today from two good friends, both collectors of stamps on Lighthouses and related matters. So I will up load both here. The 1st (at the top) is from Daniel from France and the 2nd (at the bottom) is from Reto from Switzerland. It was the order in which I opened the mail today. Thank you very much to both Daniel and Reto for sending me these covers.

Cover No 2 from Ruwanthini. Many thanks.

On this cover you can see from L-R Hesaki and Kannonzaki Lighthouses. These stamps were issued on 03.09.2018 along with three other stamps featured on post # 398.  Kannonzaki Lighthouse is featured on two of the five stamps. On this cover you can see one of them (stamp on the right) and the other stamp on my post # 398.

On this cover the stamps feature from L- R Kannonzaki, Mikomoto and Muroto Saki Lighthouses. These are 3 of 5 stamps issued on 03.09.3018.

# 397 - Lighthouses of Bahamas

The two stamps feature Elbow Reef (L) and Hole in the Wall (R) Lightouses. The two stamps were issued along with three other stamps on 7th July 2004.

The stamp featured on this cover is Ploumanac'h Lighthouse (official name Mean Ruz Lighthouse) located in Cotes - d Ármor in France.
