# 530 - Lighthouses of Taiwan

 

One of the stamps affixed on this uprated post card from Taiwan feature Oluan Pi Lighthouse. This stamp was issued on 16th August 1989. It is one of the definitive stamps featuring Lighthouses issued by Taiwan.

On this cover are three stamps from Germany issued during different years. From Left: Hohe Weg Lighthouse (Issued in 2008), Roter Sand Lighthouse (Issued in 2004) & Alte Weser Lighthouse (Issued on 4th July 2024)

# 528 - Lighthouses of Estonia

 

On this cover you can find three stamps of Estonian Lighthouses from the years 2022, 2023 & 2024.

They are from left to right Lou Bay Lighthouse (stamp issued on 07.09.2023), Narva Joesuu Lighthouse (stamp issued on 27.10.2022) & Rannapungerja Lighthouse (stamp issued on 20.07.2024).

The stamp on this cover is from the series Castles & Fortresses of Portugal. It is one of six stamps issued on 29.04.2025. The lighthouse featured on this stamp is Outao Lighthouse.

The cover feature 4 of 5 stamps issued on 12.11.2007. The stamps are from L - R: Porquerolles Lighthouse, Chassiron Lighthouse, Cape Frehel Lighthouse and L' Espiguette Lighthouse.

# 521 - Lighthouses of Greece

 

When I was in Athens during my recent holiday,  I was able to post this cover from Athens. I purchased these stamps from the post office where they were being sold in a presentation pack. The set of stamps was issued on 21.09.2009.

The stamps on the envelope feature Gaidouronisi Lighthouse ( € 0.01), Tourlitis Lighthouse ( € 0.57), Chania Lighthouse (€  0.70), Korakas Lighthouse (€ 1.00) & Strongyli Lighthouse (€ 4.20).

# 520 - Lighthouses of Taiwan

 

This aerogramme sent by my friend Michael from Taiwan feature Qimei Lighthouse. This is one of five definitive stamps issued on 20th May 1991.

# 519 - Lighthouses of Taiwan

 

Michael Ho from Taiwan sent me this Registered Aerogramme and uprated it with additional stamps to cover the airmail postage. One of the stamps feature Yeh Liu Lighthouse. This stamp is one of fifteen stamps from the series "Lighthouses of Taiwan" issued on 21.04.1989.

# 518 - Lighthouses of Taiwan

The stamp on the left feature  Fukwei  Chiao Lighthouse. This stamp is one of four stamps issued on 20.10.1991 from the definitive series that was used during that time. In all 28 definitive stamps titled "Lighthouses of Taiwan" were issued between 1989 and 1992.

The cover also contains a pre printed stamp which features on the right Liuchiu Yu Lighthouse. The pre-printed stamp has a value of  NT$ 5.  Taiwan post also issued a stamp featuring this same lighthouse on 28.10.2010 which has a value of NT $ 25.

Two stamps on this cover feature (3rd from Left): Sanguinaires Lighthouse. This stamp is one of twelve stamps from the series Famous Lighthouses of the French Coast on issued 28.08.2020. The other stamp(4th from Left): Pillar Lighthousse. This stamp is one of twelve stamps from the series Famous Lighthouses of the French Coast issued on 19.08.2019.

# 516 - Lighthouses of U. S. A

 

This cover features for of the five stamps issued on13th June 2003, titled Southeastern Lighthouses of U. S. A.

The four stamps on the cover are (Top) - Cape Lookout Lighthouse & Morris Island Lighthouse. (Bottom) - Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse & Old Cape Henry Lighthouse.

The fifth missing stamp from this series is Tybee Island Lighthouse.

# 515 - Lighthouses of Canada

 

On this cover (Bottom Left) stamp features Grand Manan Lighthouse in New Brunswick, Canada. This stamp was issued on 13.01.2020.

# 514 - Lighthouses of Canada

 

On 5th August 1992, Canada issued a series of definitive stamps titled "Edible Berries". One of these stamps is featured on the left. The lighthouse shown on the stamp is a stylized lighthouse.

# 513 - Lighthouses of Spain

On the right of the cover is a stamp featuring Cabo Mayor Lighthouse. This stamp is one of six stamps issued on 6th June 2007.

# 512 - Lighthouses of France

 

The stamp on the center of this cover feature the Pillar Lighthouse in  Saint Nazaire, France. This is one of  twelve stamps issued on 19th August 2019 by La Poste featuring Famous Lighthouses of the French Coast.

# 510 - Lighthouses of Faroe (Foroyar) Islands

 

My first post for 2025 comes courtesy of the Post Office in the Faroe Islands. I was in Shanghai a couple of weeks back attending the Asian International Stamp Exhibition. Posta, Faroe Islands was represented at this exhibition and they had a sales booth. When inquired the kind Lady manning the sales booth informed me that she had a couple of stamps of Lighthouses available which she had brought along with her. So I purchased some stamps fixed three stamps on a cover and handed the cover back to her with a request to post it from the Faroes when she gets back. I am very happy that she obliged me. I could not have asked for a nicer cancelation than what you see on the cover. My thanks go out to her for taking the trouble to post this cover from the Faroe Islands. Thank you very much.

The three stamps were issued on 28th April 2014 and feature from L - R: Toftir Lighthouse, Akraberg Lighthouse and Dimun Lighthouse.
