# 068 - Lighthouses of China

This is another jewel in my collection. Many thanks to Hai Huang from Hubei, China for sending me this cover. This issue titled "Modern Lighthouses of China" feature from L-R: Dalian, Guishan Island, Wusongkou and Mulantou Lighthouses. The State Post Bureau of China issued the four stamps on 22.05.2006.

# 067 - Lighthouses of Spain

This cover feature six stamps issued on 06.06.2007 by the Spanish Postal Service. From L- R: stamps feature Punta del Hidalgo (Tenerife), Cabo Mayor (Cantabria), Punta Almina (Ceuta), Melilla, Cabo de Palos (Murcia) and Gorliz (Biscay) Lighthouses. # 066 - Lighthouses of the United Kingdom

Today I want to show you a a first day cover issued by Royal Mail on 22.03.1998 featuring Lighthouses of the United Kingdom. This is from my own private collection of FDC's.
L-R: St. John's Point, The Smalls, Needles Rock, Bell Rock and Eddystone Lighthouses.

# 065 - Lighthouses of Netherlands

This cover feature Den Helder Lighthouse in the Netherlands. The Lighthouse is also known as Lange Jaap (Long John) Lighthouse.

Unfortunately this is a good example of how the post office can destroy a stamp with a bad machine cancellation. Friends please try and get the post office to use a hand cancellation where ever possible. I know it can be dificult at times. Thanks for your understanding.

# 061 - Lighthouses of Germany

Received through Postcrossing (DE 461351) from Wilhelm Janssen who lives in Germany. Thank you very much. Norderney Lighthouse is featured on this stamp which was issued on 02.07.2009. Wilhelm was kind enough to send this postcard where on the reverse the Lighthouse of Pilsum is featured.
